Jamie Foxx has brought hope to his fans after recovering from a serious health scare that led to months of hospitalization. Recently, he was spotted sightseeing in Chicago, where the 55-year-old actor appeared joyful and full of life, cruising on a large boat along the Chicago River on a Sunday afternoon.

Wearing a black T-shirt, the Texas native was spotted waving to fans thrilled to see him again. It appeared he was accompanied by a few other individuals onboard, including some of his family members.

Jamie Foxx’s public appearance sparked different reactions from fans, leading to a multitude of opinions shared on social media. One fan wrote, “Definitely a body double. It’s messed up.” Someone else commented, “I thought he was blind and paralyzed? Lol, glad my man is looking good.”

Another skeptical fan added that she wouldn’t believe it until she saw him in an interview with either Oprah Winfrey or Gayle King.

While Jamie’s first Instagram post since being hospitalized was on May 3, his daughter Corinne had shared updates about his health on social media. Corinne wrote on her Instagram story that her father had been discharged from the hospital and was recovering.

Also, in April, in a since-deleted Instagram post, Corinne shared that her father experienced a “medical complication.” She then explained that he was on the road to recovery after prompt action and excellent care.

Following his initial hospitalization on April 12 in Atlanta, Jamie Foxx was transferred to a renowned facility in Chicago, one of the leading centers for physical medicine and rehabilitation in the United States.

Although specific information about Jamie’s medical complications is unclear, the facility specializes in various areas such as stroke recovery, rehabilitation for traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and cancer rehabilitation.

Despite the controversies surrounding Jamie Foxx’s health, the actor shared a post on June 13 on his Instagram page actively promoting his upcoming movie, “They Cloned Tyrone,” which is set to premiere on July 21.

In addition to his movie promotion, Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne are set to host a guessing game show called “We Are Family.” The show is scheduled to premiere in 2024, allowing Jamie sufficient time to recover. This announcement comes after guest host Nick Cannon temporarily replaced Jamie for the most recent season of “Beat Shazam.”
