Tyreek Hill’s NFL form isn’t the only thing making headlines recently after his house was engulfed in flames, which officials and investigators say was caused by a child playing around with a lighter.
The house erupted into flames on Wednesday, January 3 in Southwest Ranches, Florida, as the Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver had a disappointing start to the year.

At the moment, it’s unclear if the child is related to Hill or how the child managed to ignite the flame although it is being treated as accidental rather than malicious, according to TMZ Sports, meaning that there will be no further investigations taking place.
The fire was brought under control in the afternoon with a water hose and nobody was injured, with Hill not being on the property as he trained with the Dolphins ahead of their Week 18 match-up against the Buffalo Bills.
Despite watching $7m on fire, Hill took it quite well when he arrived back at the property at around 15:00 ET according to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus.
“It is very difficult for anybody, obviously, to have your home catch on fire,” Rosenhaus said to 7News, “But Hill was handling it with as much poise as you can hope.”

Now at the Hard Rock Stadium, the Dolphins will look to get over the line to claim the division as their own on January 7 with the game forecast for a 20:20 ET start.
The Bills enter the contest having won four-straight since losing to the Philadelphia Eagles, including victories over the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots.
