Man Marries Woman with Down Syndrome Wants Child with Her despite Being Told to Get Puppy Instead

A heartwarming story of a man with autism who married a woman with Down syndrome surfaced on the internet, but not all netizens were happy to learn about the couple’s plans. Some online users criticized the couple and slammed them for wanting to have a baby.

Despite being diagnosed with autism, ADD, and bipolar disorder, Jason never stopped finding joy in the tiniest things in his life. While living his life to the fullest, he met his now-wife, his soulmate, Chloe.

Chloe was born with Down syndrome but didn’t let it stop her from finding the perfect life partner, someone who fits into her life like two pieces of a puzzle. The couple’s touching story proves love knows no bounds, but some people on the internet tried to bring them down by posting nasty comments.

He Thinks His Wife Is the Most Beautiful Woman

When Jason saw Chloe for the first time, he couldn’t take his eyes off her. He hadn’t seen a woman as beautiful as her and believed she was too good to be true. He recalled:

“I thought she was like drop-dead gorgeous.”

During their interview with Special Books by Special Kids, the adorable couple couldn’t stop praising each other. Their words reflected their unconditional bond, where nothing else mattered except their love for each other.

Their First Meeting

“I used to not know how to talk to girls,” Jason said while justifying his shyness on the day he met Chloe for the first time. He added that his nervousness didn’t allow him to express his feelings.

As a result, Jason asked his best friend to talk to Chloe on his behalf and ask her to be his girlfriend. Little did he know that the girl he liked so much would soon become his wife.

They Did a Love Test

Before revealing how he proposed to his wife, Jason shared that they tested their love for each other, strengthening their bond. They placed their hands on each other’s hearts and felt their heartbeats.

Chloe revealed she wanted to have a baby but thought it was better to wait for a while.

The Most Adorable Proposal

While recalling the time Jason went down on his knees before his wife, he confessed feeling nervous and excited at the same time. But that’s not all; the man was prepared to impress Chloe with something special.

During the interview, Chloe showed her ring to the camera and recalled how Jason knelt and opened the ring box for her. Meanwhile, Jason revealed that he sang a song for her that he had written especially for Chloe and confessed:

“I wanted to pour out my heart to her to let her know how much I loved her.”

They Love Each Other Unconditionally

The couple’s love for each other is unconditional. It knows no bounds, and it doesn’t depend on anything. While talking about his love for Chloe and imagining growing old with her, Jason said:

“I hope I die in bed with her, in my sleep. And hold hands. That is how I wish to go out.”

Meanwhile, Chloe said she “really loved” her husband, and watching him love her so much made her cry. “He’s so crazy about me,” she said while sitting beside him.

They Plan to Have a Baby

Chloe revealed she wanted to have a baby but thought it was better to wait for a while. Until then, the couple visualizes their dreams by having a doll with them. They named her “Giselle” and treated her like a “real baby.”

Having Giselle in their lives helps the couple understand what it would be like to have a kid. Jason said they feel sad without a child but are sure they want one in the future.

The couple’s plans to have a baby sparked a debate online. Some people slammed them for wanting a child, while others supported their decision.

One Facebook user wrote, “They are a lovely couple, and I hope they have a long and happy marriage. However, if it were my son or daughter, I would try and talk them into getting a puppy to love and look after rather than a child.”
