The year didn’t start the best way for Miami Dolphins star WR Tyreek Hill, as his $6.9 million mansion caught fire on Wednesday. Luckily, Hill himself was not at his house at the moment, as he was in team practice, and his family left the mansion unharmed as the fire was extinguished by firefighters quickly.

The situation was quickly under control and Tyreek Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, spoke about it on behalf of his client in front of the press, and per Safid Deen of USA Today, said the following regarding the incident.

Tyreek and his family were handling it with as much poise as you could hope. He was very grateful to the firefighters and everyone who did indeed save his home.

Rapper Rick Ross was also at the scene

Rapper Rick Ross coincidentally witnessed the fire on Tyreek Hill’s house, as he just happens to be neighbors with the football player, filming the flames as they happened in real-time, first noticing the smoke coming out of the mansion.

Rick Ross offered his two cents on the matter, saying that the fire was most likely cause by some electrical malfunction.
