Meghan Markle and Prince Harry attended the highly publicized funeral for Queen Elizabeth II, but it doesn’t appear that Meghan is planning on opening up about grieving the matriarch anytime soon. Although rumors were circulating online that Meghan was denied entry into the queen’s funeral, she was, in fact, in attendance and photographed by countless outlets, per USA Today.
Prince William even invited Harry and Meghan to join him and Kate Middleton at Windsor Castle where people were able to pay their respects to the queen and view tributes. A source told People that Prince William believed the outing “was an important show of unity at an incredibly difficult time for the family.”
Despite the tumultuous past month Markle has experienced along with the rest of the royal family and their loved ones, the Duchess of Sussex remained focus on only speaking about Asian representation during her new “Archetypes” episode. There wasn’t any mention of the late Queen Elizabeth II, which came as a bit of a surprise considering its announced hiatus due to her death. If this scenario proves anything, it’s that Meghan is steering clear of talking about the royal family even in the most unavoidable situations — at least for now.
