They say it’s never too late to make a comeback, and Danny García is living proof ot that statement, as the boxer is ready to enter the ring once again after 19 months inactive, he’ll face José Benavidez Jr. in the 140 pound division.

Danny García’s last fight

Danny García is a former Super lightweight unified champion of the world, last entered the ring in December 2020, when he lost to Errol Spence Jr., current 147 pound champion.

Now García is looking to take on a different weightclass, searching for new oponnents and he’ll start against the brother of former two-time WBC’s Super middleweight championDavid Benavidez.

José Benavidez Jr. is a former world championship contender, who lost by TKO against Terence Crawford in 2018, he’s had just one more fight since then, it was last year when he faced Francisco Emanuel Torres, the fight ended in a draw, in what was Benavidez’ first fight in the 154 pounds division.

At what time, when and where to watch José Benavídez Jr. vs. Danny García

The fight will take place this Saturday July 30, 2022 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

This fight will be the night’s main event, the card begins at 9:00 p.m. EST, with the fight scheduled to start around 11:00 EST.

It will be aired by Showtime, both on TV and online.
