A naked couple caught having ‘late-night rumpy pumpy’ in their car in a rural lay-by have been fined for flouting lockdown rules.

The pair were discovered in Morley, near Derby, on Monday night by police, much to their embarrassment.

After officers busted them, the amorous pair were each given a £200 Fixed Penalty Notice for breaching lockdown rules as well as a cannabis warning.

Derbyshire Police tweeted: ‘Morley – undisclosed country lay-by.

‘Nothing ruins a little bit of late night ‘Rumpy Pumpy’ quite like a couple of Covid tickets and a cannabis warning.’

It is not the first time a couple have been caught with their trousers down for breaking lockdown rules, with two women last night found to have been ‘fornicating under the stars’ on Dartmoor on the coldest night of the year.

The pair were busted by a routine patrol in the early hours when the temperature was -3C near the village of Yelverton, Devon.

They had driven 10 miles from their homes in Plymouth and had parked up in a car park in West Dartmoor, a known dogging hotspot, when officers arrived just after midnight.

The couple were warned to return to their separate homes, which they did, and were subsequently reported for breaking lockdown regulations and may now face a £200 fine each.

Tavistock Police found another couple at a secluded car park last month. They were warned to return to their separate homes, which they did, and were subsequently reported for breaking lockdown regulations and may now face a £200 fine each

Meanwhile, earlier this year, a young man was also ordered to pay the same amount after being spotted breaking restrictions to visit a brothel.

Kent Police caught the man entering the property in Minster on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, at around 6pm Friday 15 January.

Derbyshire Police has been contacted for further details on yesterday’s incident.
