Adonis Graham was born on Oct. 11, 2017. Per People, Drake initially denied Brussaux’s paternity claims when she was pregnant with their son. He later confirmed his fatherhood status on his 2018 “Scorpion” album and elaborated on it later that year during an episode of “The Shop.” “We have found ourselves in a situation and we are both equally responsible,” Drake said. “Now, I’m just really excited to be a great father.”
Drake and Brussaux didn’t begin posting photos of Adonis until 2020, which is also when the former explained his decision to finally stop “hiding the world” from his kid during Apple Music’s “Young Money Radio With Lil Wayne.” “I want to be able to go places with my son and share memories with my son,” Drake said. “I don’t want to feel like just because of a life choice I made to be a ‘celebrity’ that I got to make everybody live under this blanket . . . I just wanted to free myself of that.”
Though Adonis is still very young, he’s already fluent in French thanks to his mom, a native of France. In January 2022, Drake posted a since-deleted video of his son showing off his bilingual skills, or perhaps he was just fooling his dad. In the clip, per People, Drake, after prompting him to repeat words in French, asked, “Is that really what you said or are you just making stuff up?” In response, Adonis jokingly called his father “a funny guy.”
Adonis is already following in his father’s footsteps. On Oct. 6, Drake released his album “For All the Dogs,” and Adonis appears on the track “Daylight.” At the end of the song, he raps lines that indicate he’ll always have his dad’s back, like, “Don’t talk to my man like that,” “My, my, my, my man,” and “I will always, watchin’ for you.”
