More snow is on the way to the UK on Wednesday after snow fell across multiple areas on Tuesday.

A yellow snow and ice warning from the Met Office will be in place tomorrow, covering parts of Yorkshire. This includes Leeds, York, Huddersfield, Harrogate, Bradford and parts of Sheffield.

The Met Office has also forecasted some snow in the region, while lots of snow is due to fall across the rest of the country. There will be lots of snow in the Scottish Highlands and in parts of Wales.

At 12am midnight on Wednesday morning, there will be a patch of snow fall over the Peak District, stretching towards Huddersfield in the north. This will be mixed up with rain meaning sleet is likely.

Further north, there will be rain in North Yorkshire and more snow in Newcastle and over the eastern Scottish border. There will also be snow in northern Wales and up in the Scottish Highlands and Isles.

Through the early morning, the snow in the Peak District will break up and move further south while the snow in Newcastle will move south towards Castleton and Whitby. The Scottish Highlands will keep seeing snow as will northern Wales and Northern Ireland, particularly around Derry.

At 6am, the snow will have stopped falling in England and Wales, although it will continue in Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands and Hebrides. Throughout the morning, more snow will move through from the North Sea, hitting East Anglia and parts of the Yorkshire coast off the coast of Scarborough.

However, by midday, the snow will only be falling in Northern Ireland and Northern Scotland. Through the afternoon, the snow will move south to Fort William in Scotland and will begin falling in Derry and Ballymena at around 4pm.

Into the evening, after 8pm, there will be more snow in the Highlands and at Stranraer in Dumfries and Galloway. Belfast and Derry will see more snow as will parts of the Isle of Man and Wales in Caernafon.

This will move further south in Wales towards Pembrokeshire and will continue in the north as well as Northern Ireland and Northern Scotland. By midnight on Thursday, this will continue in these locations..
