England's home strip gives off a vintage vibe featuring a navy collar and red and blue piping on the sleeve cuff

Once the club football season ends, there is just the small matter of a European Championship for football fans to get their teeth stuck into.

The tournament will get underway when hosts Germany take on Scotland on Friday, June 14.

And one of the highlights, usually, for those watching is seeing the new kits that their nation will turn out in.

England fans got a glimpse of both their new home and away kits when they took on Brazil and Belgium respectively at Wembley.

But what else can we expect when the tournament gets underway in June?

Group A

Germany

As to be expected, Germany’s home shirt is predominantly white and provides a neat base layer to tee up the rest of the jersey.

The tricolour of the national flag adorns the shoulders of the Adidas home strip and there is a subtle design on the body of the shirt.

The home kit is clean and simple, but the away kit for Julian Nagelsmann’s side is definitely more lively.

The pink strip fades into a purple spiked design towards the bottom of the shirt and is reportedly inspired by the ‘digital world of the metaverse’.

Scotland

Scotland have qualified for their second consecutive Euros and their home strip is a traditional look we have come to expect.

The navy kit features yellow trim and numbering with white Adidas stripes, but the real standout part of this kit is the tartan pattern that runs across the shirt.

Scotland will be decked out in tartan as usual, with a patterned design adding to the look

As for the away kit, it is a much simpler set up from Adidas for Steve Clarke’s side and is quite the departure from what we usually see.

The pale blue strip features purple stripes that are reportedly tartan with the kit based on an ‘iconic Scotland strip from the 1990s’.

Their away strip is different to the usual Scottish design, although it is also inspired by tartan

Hungary

Often for international tournaments we see kit manufacturers roll out a template and then set the colours that match the national side’s usual set up.

Hungary are the first team here to be set up in such a way by Adidas, who will be stepping out in what can only be described as pretty plain kits.

The home strip is red, with the country’s crest affixed to both sides, and has some white and green trim to try and liven the look up.

The away kit is essentially the inverse, a white strip accompanied by red and green slashes.

Switzerland

Switzerland may well boast the best looking effort of any team wearing a Puma kit at this summer’s tournament.

The home shirt features a two-tone red effort, with subtle pinstripes adorning the jersey.

Puma claim the two shades of red carry special symbolism for the nation of Switzerland and reflects all things Swiss.

The away kit, sporting a white base, may have risked being called boring, but the two shades of blue pattern add a smart accent to freshen up the look.

Group B

Spain

Spain will wear a yellow and red kit reminiscent of their strip in the late 2000s and early 2010s

Spain’s home kit will feature their traditional red and yellow, while the back of the neck features the national flower of Spain, the carnation

The yellow away kit has a red trim coupled with a pale blue wave graphic on the side of the top

La Roja are set to line up in a rather traditional yellow and red kit, reminiscent of their hugely successful period in the late 2000s and early 2010s.

It is boosted by an infusion of the wildlife and geography of Spain, with the wavy pattern on display said to be in reference to the seas on the Spanish coast.

The Carnation, which is Spain’s national flower, is also embroidered on the back of both the home and away tops in a further nod to their heritage.

The away strip has a similar theme, but instead of red, the main colour is yellow, with a red trim coupled with a pale blue wave graphic on the side of the top.

Croatia

Croatia’s home kit will come as no surprise to anyone as we all have grown accustom to their red and white chequered home shirt.

But Nike have made a decision that may not appeal to everyone, abandoning the usual smaller design to opt for bigger alternating squares of red and white.

The away kit is typically blue as we have seen Croatia pull on across numerous international tournaments.

The two shades of blue feature the usual checks but this time in a diagonally tilted fashion.

Italy

Italian kits are often easy on the eye and their Euro 2024 look is no different with the home blue strip simple but classy.

Predominantly one colour, it also encapsulates the Azzurri’s rich history and the three colours of their national flag – white, red and green.

The away kit is similarly classical, with the white colour boosted by the conventional tricolour trim on the shoulders

Both the home and away strips have the letter ‘I’ running through them, for Italy, while ‘L’Italian Chiamo’, which translates as ‘Italy has called’ and is a line from the national anthem – is printed on the back of the shirt collars.

Albania

It is unclear whether Albania will be wearing a brand new strip when they take to the pitch at Euro 2024 with Macron refreshing their international kits every 24 months.

Their current home kit features a deep red base shirt with a black collar and black accents.

The away kit follows much of the block colour design of the home strip featuring an all black look.

There is red pin striping down the side and at the base of the black collar adding a splash of colour to the otherwise pretty plain effort.

England’s home kit caused controversy upon it’s release after a ‘playful’ change to the St George’s Cross caused uproar.

But the home kit itself is a clean choice from Nike, the white base with a navy collar and navy and red accents will give fans a sense of a throwback to Euros gone by.

The away kit also divided fans with Nike making the decision to move away from the more traditional red offering.

The all blue effort features gold trim including a monochrome gold Three Lions crest.

Slovenia

Not much is known about the Slovenian kits for Euro 2024 just yet, but it is expected they will be made by Nike.

Denmark

Denmark and Hummel are an iconic duo that fans have become accustomed to seeing at European Championships.

This year is no different as Hummel have produced the classic red kit but this time it features a print of squares in varying shades of red to represent the 1,535 clubs affiliated with the Danish Football Association.

It is also features the names of all of those clubs printed on the inside of the shirt.

The away kit is white and features the same print as the home kit along with the classic Hummel chevrons on the shoulders.

Serbia

While the Switzerland kit produced by Puma is certainly a thing of beauty, it feels as though they didn’t go through the same effort for Serbia.

The home strip features a pretty plain red shirt with blue sleeve cuffs and a couple of white slashes around the middle.

The away kit does push the boat out a little more and does just enough to avoid the boring tag.

The white body features a blue v-neck collar, with blue sleeve cuffs that feature a red spike pattern as well as two blue slashes in the same place as the home kit.

World Cup runners-up France have had their Euro 2024 kits made by Nike and both of them are pretty stunning.

The home shirt pays homage to the kits of the 1960s featuring a large crest on the bright blue body with the tricolour French flag accenting the collar.

The away shirt is also quite something, as usual there is a main white colour featured but the details are where it really sets itself apart.

The pinstripes on the away strip fade from blue to red, making up the France flag and are a call back to the away kits of the 1980s and 2000s.

Netherlands

Fans always know exactly what to expect from a Netherlands home kit, they are after all nicknamed the Oranje.

That is no different here as Nike opt for a very crisp orange strip that features a navy collar and navy accents.

But the away kit is where they have decided to push the boat out a little bit.

It is predominantly navy, but features the iconic orange accents reflecting the Dutch art movement De Stijl, hidden within the details are subtle lion and lioness designs.

Poland

Robert Lewandowski and Co were the side responsible for denying Wales a place at Euro 2024 when they defeated Rob Page’s men on penalties.

It has become common place for Poland to wear pretty much block colours and they have stuck to that blueprint here.

The home kit is a white shirt with red sleeve cuffs and the crest stacked above the Nike logo in the middle of chest.

The away kit is a block red with the crest and Nike logo in the exact same place. It may not be the most exciting but it is very much on brand.

Austria

Where criticism could have been levelled at Puma for a lack of effort in their Serbia kit, that is not the case for Austria.

The home shirt is red with a white collar and sleeve cuffs and features a second shade of red design all over the shirt.

While the home kit may have tried something, the away strip has far less going on.

It is a pretty simple white look, with black collar and sleeve cuffs as well as a light blue design that is barely visible.

Belgium

Belgium may not quite be the powerhouse that they were a few years ago – when they spent four successive years at the top of the world rankings – but Domenico Tedesco’s side are still one to be feared.

Both their confirmed kits for Euro 2024, which will be provided by Adidas, are slightly different to the usual Belgium outlook.

Belgium's home kit features a darker red than usually seen, an ode to the foundation of the Royal Belgian Football Association in 1895

The home kit is a little deeper in red than usual, with it said to be an ode to the foundation of the Royal Belgian Football Association in 1895, while it also has the crown of the FA crest above the national team badge.

The away kit is the one that is likely to grab the headlines though, with the sky blue shirt and brown shorts inspired by iconic cartoon character Tintin, who was created by Belgian cartoonist Herge.

Slovakia

Little is known about Slovakia’s Euro 2024 kits as of yet, but they are expected to be made by Nike.

Romania

Romania’s kits for the tournament are expected to remain the same as those they had worn during the qualification process.

Romanian Football Federation (FRF) president Razvan Burleanu suggested no change will be made for the summer.

The home strip features a block yellow look with stripes on the sleeve cuff that represent the Romanian flag.

The block colour look continues on the away strip that is all red and contains the same sleeve cuff detailing.

Ukraine

Despite having their kits since 2021, Ukraine are expected to turn out in Germany in the same kit.

Part of the reason is that they are currently at odds with manufacturers Joma, who continue to make kits for Russian clubs.

Those who have watched European Championships of the past will be familiar with the threat Turkey have posed in past competitions with a semi-final appearance in 2008.

And it would appear their home kit this year is an attempt to recapture past glories, the white jersey features a red band across the middle of the shirt with Turkey’s star and crescent logo in the middle. A throwback of sorts to their 2008 red effort.

The away kit though is a far more simple set up, Nike have put together a very simple crimson red look.

Portugal

This will be the last tournament Nike are Portugal’s kit manufacturer and they haven’t exactly gone out with a bang with the home kit.

The home kit is a pretty basic effort, but features a slightly brighter red than usual on the shirt, coupled with their usual green shorts.

The away kit is where Nike have really excelled for Portugal though and it could become a cult favourite.

It features a light blue mosaic design that pays homage to Portugal’s national traditional architecture.

Czechia are another nation that will wear puma at this year’s tournament and they have once again been given the subtle print effort for a home shirt.

This is again one of the more impressive looks from the kit manufacturer with the iconic lion printed across the entire body.

But as has been the case repeatedly from Puma across this list, it feels as though the away shirt is an after thought.

It is once again a simple white effort with some blue detailing.

Rounding out the teams at Euro 2024 is Georgia, and like Albania are unlikely to see new kits for the tournament.

Their home shirt features a white body with a red stripe down the middle that has been split in half to allow for the numbers to be printed on the front of the shirt.

The away strip is all black but features the same detailing in a very subtle two-tone print and who doesn’t love an all black kit?

Both jerseys also bare the the cross of the Georgian national flag in subtle print all over.
