Authorities examined the security camera footage and witnessed a man reportedly attacking the woman with a weapon and repeatedly harming her at 4.45 am.
The victim was allegedly dragged from the area by the offender towards Tuncks Road.
“Investigations have commenced and police hold concerns for the welfare of the victim,” a spokesperson said.
The man is described as being shirtless, wearing black shorts, black shoes and a light-coloured hat.
The woman was dressed in a light-colored long-sleeved sweater, light-colored trousers, light-colored shoes, and had her hair styled in either a bun or ponytail.
Police released CCTV images of a car this morning, which was seen in the area at the time of the assault.
A spokesperson said police are interested in speaking with the occupants but do not believe they were involved in the incident.
Police are working to find the occupants of other vehicles that were in the area at the time.
