When all the paths of Canelo Alvarezwere leading him to a boxing rematch with Bivol, a new contender for the Mexican appeared, and he is already a known contender.
It is the American Caleb Plant, who is ready for a rematch.
The two already faced each other last year, with the Mexican winning by technical knockout in the 11th round.

“That wasn’t my best camp going into that fight,” he said to FightHype, “but regardless that’s not the reason I lost.
“I lost because I got caught with a great shot and I got stopped.
“I want a rematch with Canelo. If I have to pick up every last top super middleweight in the division to get to that, that’s what I’m going to do.”
Plant will fight on October 15 against former world champion Anthony Dirrell.
Canelo’s plans
For now, Canelo‘s plans are not certain.
In addition to the uncertainty of not knowing his next opponent, there are also physical problems, as he may undergo surgery on one of his wrists.
The Mexican has not made any statement so far about his future.
