JJ Watt is set to play with theArizona Cardinals after going into atrial fibrillation on Wednesday and having his heart shocked back into rhythm on Thursday.
According to the same lineman, Watt is clear to set foot on the football field against the Carolina Panthers.
The same JJ Watt confirmed the information via Twitter.
JJ Watt’s words about the cardiac incident
Watt took his Twitter to announce he was playing on Sunday against the Panthers. Nevertheless, he also explained what happened days before the game.
“I was just told somebody leaked some personal information about me and it’s going to be reported on today,” Watt tweeted.
“I went into A-Fib on Wednesday, had my heart shocked back into rhythm on Thursday and I’m playing today. That’s it,” Watt ended.
According to several reports, JJ Watt missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday. However, the Cardinals listed his absence as “calf/illness” in the official injury report.
Watt suffers from atrial fibrillation, described by the Cleveland Clinic as “an irregular heart rhythm that begins in your heart’s upper chambers.”
JJ Watt had limited practice on Friday.
