Jeff Brazier has revealed his family have ‘pulled together’, amid his legal battle with Jade’s mother Jackiey Budden.
The presenter, 45, is the parent of Freddy, 20, and Strictly’s Bobby, 21, both of whom he shared with the late Jade Goody. Unfortunately, Jade passed away in 2009 from cervical cancer when she was only 27 years old.
Recently, it came to light that Jeff is taking steps to legally prevent contact between Freddy and Jade Goody’s mother, citing concerns about Freddy’s well-being.
At present, Jeff is participating in a ‘spiritual journey’ on the popular BBC show Pilgrimage and has provided an update on his family’s situation amidst the ongoing legal issues.
He told the Mirror: ‘All we really know how to do is to pull together and be there for one another… and I think that’s what we do best, and that’s what all good families do.’Â
Despite not commenting on the ongoing situation, he said Freddy is in a ‘really good place right now’.

It was revealed last month that Jeff is taking action in an attempt to legally block contact between Freddy and the mother of the late Big Brother star amid concerns over his welfare
He added: ‘I was really proud of him, and it’s wonderful to just watch him grow in experience.’
The pair will even be teaming up for a presenting stint together on This Morning in Malta, which left Jeff brimming with pride.
Jeff has hired a leading barrister for the upcoming hearing which is the latest in part of a long-running feud between Jackiey and Jeff.
Speaking to MailOnline from her ground floor flat in Bermondsey, south east London, last month, Jackiey hit out at the proceedings.
She said: ‘I know what this is all about. It (the situation with Jeff) doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter.’
She asked: ‘Do I want to see Freddy? Of course I do. I see Freddy all of the time. I will see him.’
One neighbour said: ‘I feel sorry for Jackiey. She’s been through so much. It’s a complex situation. I just hope they can be all together again as a family. Her grandchildren mean the world to her.’
They added: ‘How did it come to this that lawyers are apparently involved? She wants to be the best gran she can be to those boys.’

The presenter, 45, shared both Freddy, 20, and Strictly’s Bobby, 21, with the late Jade Goody who tragically died in 2009 from cervical cancer aged just 27

It comes after Freddy broke his silence on his relationship with his father as it’s revealed Jeff Brazier has started legal proceedings against Jade’s mum

Freddy, 20, lost his mother Jade when he was just four years old after she died from cervical cancer on Mother’s Day 2009. He paid trubute to Jade and Jeff on Sunday
On Sunday it was reported that Jeff has launched legal action in a bid to keep Freddy ‘safe’ from Jackiey.
According to The Sun Jeff is now attempting to block any contact between his youngest son and grandmother, 68, claiming the relationship has been ‘incredibly detrimental’.
He is also said to have hired a top barrister for the upcoming hearings with a source insisting Jeff’s actions prove just how ‘concerned’ he is.
Freddy broke his silence on his relationship with his father in an Instagram post to celebrate Mother’s Day.
The influencer, 20, lost his mother Jade when he was just four years old after she died from cervical cancer on Mother’s Day 2009.
Since her death, Jeff has looked after Freddy and his older brother Bobby, 21. In celebration of his father’s efforts for the last 16 years, Freddy paid tribute to both his father and late mother on Sunday.
In his first post shared to Instagram Stories, Freddy uploaded a collection of photographs of Jade and their family and simply wrote: ‘Happy Mother’s Day’.
He then posted a new picture of him and his dad with their arms around each other, adding: ‘Forever grateful for you and all you do for me.’
The story is the first post Freddy has made about his dad since it was revealed Jeff is planning on putting a legal block on Freddy’s grandmother Jackiey having contact with him.
Jackiey, 68, helped raise Bobby and Freddy following Jade’s death but she and Jeff have clashed multiple times over the years.

Jeff then thanked ‘the hero’s that have picked us up’ but did not mention Jade’s mother (pictured in 2019), who he has launched legal action against to block her contact with Freddy
As well as Freddy’s post, Jeff also shared a loving tribute to Jade Goody on Mother’s Day, admitting that he and their sons ‘still need you’.
The TV star also thanked his network of friends and family including his wife Kate for helping him raise his and Jade’s sons Bobby, 21, and Freddy 20, since Jade’s death.
Sharing photos of himself and Jade, Jeff gushed: ‘To the greatest mother imaginable to be cruelly denied the privilege of seeing her children long into adulthood. Anyone taken from loved ones is sorely missed but I’d have to admit we have needed you ever since and still do to this day.’
‘It was too big a job for me alone but thankfully we have a strong dependable village around us.’
He went onto to thank ‘the hero’s that have picked us up’ but there was no mention of Jade’s mother Jackiey .
Jade’s husband Jack Tweed, who she married a month before she died, spoke out on Jeff’s feud with Jade’s mother Jackiey last week .
Reflecting on the feud, Jack – who has stayed close with the two boys – has insisted that Jade wouldn’t have wanted the animosity towards her mother, but added that the late star had been determined that Jackiey wouldn’t raise her sons either.
In a new interview with the Sun , he admitted that he didn’t think that Jackiey was in the ‘right place’ to be raising the boys, but insisted that Jade wouldn’t want her completely cut out.
He said: ‘Maybe at the minute, Jackiey isn’t in the right place to see the boys and bring them up because she doesn’t make the right decisions sometimes and she might let the boys get away with things that most parents wouldn’t.
But he added he was sympathetic to Jeff, as he felt the TV presenter has ‘not really got too much choice’ but to prioritise Freddy’s mental health, rather than Jackiey’s desire to see them.

While Jack confessed that he that he knew Jade would not ‘be over the moon’ about the war between Jeff and Jackiey, as he said she had been determined not to let her sons have the same upbringing that she had.
Jackiey is a former drug addict, who lost the use of her left arm in a motorbike accident, openly admitted smoking crack cocaine while Jade was a child, and in 2010 a video emerged of her taking cocaine.
Jack said: ‘It’s hard because I’d never ever sit here and slag Jackiey off because I wouldn’t ever do that to Jade.
‘Jade wouldn’t like that. Obviously, she’s not going to be over the moon about what’s going on, but at the same time she knew she struggled with her childhood with Jackiey, so she knew she wouldn’t want the same for her boys.’Her whole life the main thing was she didn’t want her boys having the same upbringing as what she did, which obviously they haven’t, they’ve had a nicer upbringing with Jeff, but she wouldn’t want Jackiey doing things that she wouldn’t have with the boys.’
