I’m not sure who thought it was a good idea to vote for David Hogg for DNC vice chair.
But he’s there now, and as Scott Pinsker at our sister site PJ Media reported, what he’s planning to do may just kill the Democratic Party.
A high-ranking official within the Democratic Party is making an unprecedented and controversial decision that may anger some party members. Traditionally, Democratic Party committees, such as the DNC, have refrained from challenging incumbents within their own party. Their focus has been on criticizing Republicans. Meanwhile, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee aims to support incumbent members by providing resources, fundraising assistance, and strategic advice.
In simpler terms, when the party is experiencing significant challenges and facing rejection from the American public due to being viewed as too extreme, it appears they plan to counter this by promoting more progressive candidates. This move suggests they are doubling down on their progressive stance despite the existing criticisms. The official seems to believe that this strategy will assist in addressing their current “crisis” by acknowledging and attempting to overcome a major issue.
The official, [Hogg], has recognized that this decision may cause significant discontent among party members. Despite this, he argues that the Democratic Party is currently facing a crisis. He points to a recent CNN poll that revealed a record-low approval rating of 29 percent for the party, indicating that urgent action is required to address the challenges ahead.
“Our base is craving dramatic change,” Hogg said. “We need to show our base we’re here to fight for them. We need to show there are younger faces stepping up.” [Emphasis added.]
So do in all the moderates when they just told you in very clear terms that they didn’t want extremism? Not only are they going to drive the American center further away, but their own people are going to flip out on them for the circular firing squad he’s forming to primary people.
But then after saying that, he’s not targeting people like 85-year-old Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who he terms a “fighter.” So how much is his effort worth? He didn’t give an exception for Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in the story.
James Carville knows how bad this is and he blasted Hogg’s actions to Chris Cuomo on News Nation: “I don’t know if I have standing, but I might give the DNC $10 to sue him. He’s a contemptible little twerp if you ask me.”
In which James Carville calls DNC Vice Chair David Hogg “a contemptible little twerp” for reportedly supporting efforts to primary sitting Democrats

“Sue his punk ass!” Chris Cuomo said, egging him on, saying if he did, he’d have him back to talk about it.
Carville is at an age where he doesn’t hold back and is often way off the mark, but he’s right on the money with this one.
