Marvel reveals The Silver Surfer in trailer for ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’

We’re getting a new look at Marvel’s “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”

The most recent preview introduces Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. They are portrayed as heroes who are on the brink of expanding their family. However, their peaceful existence is soon disrupted by the sudden appearance of The Silver Surfer, portrayed by Julia Garner, who ominously proclaims that “your planet is now marked for death.”

Well, that sounds ominous.

This ominous situation arises because The Silver Surfer serves as the Herald for Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson, and his ultimate goal is to consume the planet along with all its inhabitants.

The Fantastic Four must figure out how to stop him and save the world as only they can.

The film also stars Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne and Sarah Niles.

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is in theaters July 25.
