Kim Kardashian stated she is “re-evaluating” her future with Balenciaga, but it seems she has already given up her mind, since she has discarded clothing she was planning to wear to upcoming events and declined an offer from the brand.

Before the contentious kid BDSM ads went public, sources with inside knowledge of the incident tell us the design house offered Kim the chance to work on a 2023 Balenciaga campaign.

Even before making a public declaration about the matter, Kim reportedly decided to decline the offer once the advertisements went viral.

Kim allegedly had planned to wear Balenciaga clothing to events she attends in the upcoming months, but she scrapped those plans and approached other designers for replacement possibilities, according to TMZ’s sources.

Kim received a lot of criticism for delaying her criticism of the Balenciaga campaign and her exit from the firm. However, according to our sources, Kim is now not even bound by a contract with the fashion house and is not receiving any compensation from it.

Balenciaga’s controversial BDSM bears with kids campaign

The public was outraged by Balenciaga’s campaign, which included kid models holding BDSM teddy bears in a picture shoot and fake legal documents mentioning child porn.

Kim responded to the debate on Sunday with a statement that included the following: “As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period.”

“As for my future with Balenciaga, I am currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand, basing it off their willingness to accept accountability for something that should have never happened to begin with – & the actions I am expecting to see them take to protect children,” she added.

“We want to ensure that new controls mark a pivot and will prevent this from happening again. We are laying the groundwork with organizations who specialize in child protection and aims at ending child abuse and exploitation,” said Balenciaga in a statement. Maybe Kim pulling out of their ranks hurt them more than expected?
