As this week began, it appeared that wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. would visit the Dallas Cowboys to stay with a signed contract, but as Week 14 of the 2022 NFL season got underway, the former New York Giants, Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams player is still without a team.

OBJ visited The Star, the training facility of “America’s Team,” was there Monday and Tuesday, underwent medical tests and was even invited by star defensive players Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs to the NBA season game between the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns.

Odell Beckham’s health condition concerns the Cowboys

However, after getting the results of the aforementioned medical tests, press reports indicated that the Cowboys, led by owner Jerry Jones were not satisfied as it was revealed that the receiver could be healthy to return to play until mid-January, that has frozen negotiations.

A week ago, quarterback Dak Prescott was added to those who seemed to want to draft Beckham to have a star on his helmet, however, judging by his statements from Thursday’s press conference, the optimism while not gone, has diminished considerably.

“Obviously, it would help to have him [Odell Beckham]; He’s a great player,” Prescott said. “If he can come in and play right now 100 percent, we want him. But I’ve got a lot of confidence in the guys we have.”

It’s important to remember that during the Rams’ win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI last February, OBJ played his last game so far after suffering a horrific ACL tear in his knee in the first half of the contest at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.
