Firerose has shared some telling posts in the wake of her ex Billy Ray Cyrus revealing a romance with Liz Hurley.
Billy Ray, 63, who finalized his divorce with Firerose, 36, in August, seemed to confirm an unexpected relationship with the UK actress on Easter Sunday.
Taking to her Instagram story on Monday, Firerose shared two clips that appeared to be a pointed commentary on the shock romance.
The first showed the Australian-born country star in the studio singing her recently released single War Is Won.
The video depicted Firerose confidently standing at the microphone, passionately singing the chorus – ‘move right along, the war is won’ – from her Christian-themed single released in January.
Firerose followed the post with a second clip that featured the single Rise Up, which was released earlier this month.
In the footage, Firerose was portrayed standing on a shoreline, performing the chorus of the song she had previously described on Instagram as an ‘anthem of faith and resilience – a song forged in unsinkable truth.’
‘I’ll rise up, no matter how hard I hit the dirt,’ Firerose sang in the clip.Â
‘I won’t give up. Praying for a purpose in the hurt.’
Firerose’s posts come after Liz Hurley, 59, appeared to confirm the unexpected relationship with Billy Ray on Easter Sunday by going Instagram official with a steamy social media post.
In the picture, Liz couldn’t keep the smile off her face as she leant in for a kiss with the Achy Breaky Heart crooner who gave her a peck on the cheek.Â
The couple even appeared to have coordinated their outfits as Hurley looked stylish in a plaid shirt, cowboy hat, and faded jeans as she leaned against a rustic fence while Billy Ray was dressed in full Western gear and a pair of floppy bunny ears.
While the duo didn’t include a caption spelling things out with Hurley only writing ‘Happy Easter’, the photo spoke for itself and marked their first public display as a couple.
Meanwhile, Billy Ray and Firerose’s marriage officially in August last year, three months after the country singer filed for divorce from his Australian wife of less than a year, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.Â
After an increasingly bitter and public break up, during which each accused the other of verbal and emotional abuse, court documents obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com show that Firerose walked away with $0.
But according to a source, Firerose was perfectly content with how things played out.
‘She settled for nothing just to be done with him and get away from the situation,’ the insider told DailyMail.com exclusively.
The split reportedly strained his relationship with daughter Miley Cyrus, who notably left him out of her recent Grammy acceptance speech.
Firerose revealed in January that she prayed for Billy Ray ‘every day’ following his shambolic performance during the US President Donald Trump’s inaugural ball.
Appearing on KIIS FM’s Kyle & Jackie O Show, Firerose revealed that what people witnessed during the bizarre performance was ‘reflective’ of her experience with the country star.
‘Honestly, what I experienced behind closed doors for years is very reflective of what everyone is seeing now,’ she said.
‘I’m extremely grateful to God for getting me out of that situation.’
When host Kyle Sandilands asked Firerose if Billy Ray had experienced a ‘fall from grace’, she doubled down in her assessment of her ex.
‘What you guys see is, is just very evident, like, of the situation. I think everyone can just trust their own eyes and ears,’ she said.
‘And it’s a very sad situation, honestly. I tried with all my soul to help him for years.’
Firerose added that she never thought, when first meeting Billy Ray back in 2010, that the couple’s relationship would become so fractious.
‘We actually met on the set of Hannah Montana. I was walking out of an audition. it was in 2010, so I was 22 years old, and we became friends,’ she said.
‘The truth is that I just never could have imagined, you know, all these years later, everything that’s transpired.’
Firerose said that she wished nothing but the best for Billy Ray.Â
‘I wish him all the best. I prayed for him every day,’ she said.
‘I just pray that he finds the blessing of faith. That if he can just connect with Jesus, then I know there’s hope for him.’
