A climate protester was seen spray-painting “USA” over a presidential plaque inside Trump Tower in New York City on Wednesday afternoon.
Nathaniel Smith, 36, a Brooklyn resident, was arrested over the act of vandalism, the New York Police Department told Fox News Digital.Â
A person was caught on camera defacing the plaque on a building in Manhattan. The individual was seen kneeling on the floor after spray-painting the area and displaying a small banner with the words “Game Over.”
He was escorted away from the scene by authorities.Â

The incident came a day after an environmental activist group spray-painted the famous Wall Street Charging Bull.Â
It was reported that the same group was responsible for vandalizing a Tesla showroom in Lower Manhattan. Surveillance footage captured two men without masks writing profanities and messages of non-consent on the windows using red and green spray paint.

The perpetrators are believed to be associated with Extinction Rebellion, a climate activist organization known for taking over public spaces, causing disturbances, and vandalizing public structures.
