Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ Tickets Now 'Cost Less Than A Happy Meal'

Beyoncé might be a queen, but right now, her “Cowboy Carter” tour ticket sales are getting roasted online.

This week, fans of music turned to X (formerly Twitter) to criticize the lack of interest in Beyoncé’s forthcoming concerts. One user claimed to have discovered resale tickets for as low as $20 for the faraway seats at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, drawing a comparison to the price of a special McDonald’s “Minecraft” meal.

A user wrote, “Due to the low demand, tickets for Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour are currently priced at $20, cheaper than a McDonald’s ‘Minecraft’ meal at $21.39.” This statement quickly generated a significant amount of online discussion.

One supporter highlighted that at one point, some tickets had fallen to $27 before rising again to $37. Meanwhile, other individuals criticized the abundance of tickets still unsold just days before the first show.

“The ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour starts in less than a week and there are still thousands of tickets left for opening night…” a third user noted.

Still, loyal Beyhive members are pushing back hard against the narrative that the “Single Ladies” hitmaker is struggling.

Fans quickly reminded everyone that Beyoncé’s “Renaissance World” tour didn’t sell out immediately either, yet it went on to become the highest-grossing tour by a Black artist in history.

“Wait till the tour starts, once those clips start dropping, people will be flocking to get tickets, I know it,” one fan argued.

Another clapped back at the McDonald’s price comparison, joking, “Where the f-ck are you guys getting a McDonald’s ‘Minecraft’ meal for $21?? At mine it’s like $14.”

Others pointed out that the $20 seats are resale tickets, meaning Beyoncé already made her money from the original sales.

The “Cowboy Carter” tour kicks off April 28 at SoFi Stadium with five shows lined up at the massive venue before heading to Chicago, New York, London, Paris, Houston, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Las Vegas.

While some back-row seats are bargain-bin cheap, fans wanting to be up close and personal with Bey can expect to drop upwards of $1,500 for floor seats.

Some skeptics are blaming the lukewarm ticket sales on Beyoncé’s pivot into country music.

“Nobody cares about cowgirl version of Beyoncé,” one critic declared.

“This country album should’ve been a donation-based concert,” another chimed in.

But despite the online haters, “Cowboy Carter” has been a massive success.

The album topped the Billboard 200 chart, while her lead single, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” hit No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Country chart.

Beyoncé also racked up major Grammy wins this year, taking home Album of the Year and Best Country Album for “Cowboy Carter,” with her 13-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, by her side during her emotional acceptance speech.

“I just feel very full and very honored,” she told the crowd, dedicating the win to her inspirations and thanking the Los Angeles Fire Department for presenting the award.

She previously said that the new album “is a result of challenging myself, and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work.”
