THE family of a missing Democratic candidate is desperate for answers after he disappeared last week.
Petros Krommidas, 29, was last seen on April 23, just two days after he spoke at an event for young party members.

Krommidas is a candidate hoping to become a legislator in Nassau County’s 4th District in New York.
On April 22, he posted about speaking at a monthly meeting for the Nassau County Young Democrats the night before.
“Grateful to the Nassau County Young Democrats for the invitation – It’s always wonderful to spend time with such a considerate, active group dedicated to creating positive change in our community,” Krommidas posted on Facebook.
The next day, he was seen in Baldwin at 9 pm.
He was last seen wearing a camouflage print sweatshirt and gray sweatpants, police said.
The candidate is described a 6’2″ tall, 230 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Authorities believe he might be in the Long Beach area.
His disappearance was reported to police on April 24 at 7:35 pm.
Krommidas’ sister, Eleni, shared a heartbreaking message about her concern for her brother on social media.
“My brother is missing, and we are deeply worried,” she shared on Facebook.
“Please, share this post and assist us in spreading the message – any details could have an impact. Thank you for standing by us during this exceptionally challenging period.”
Nassau County Democratic Committee Chairman Jay Jacobs shared a statement about his colleague’s disappearance with Altice affiliate News 12.
“We are heartbroken over the disappearance of Petros Krommidas,” Jacobs said.
“Petros is a bright, driven young man who has been a strong voice for Democratic values.
“He is well respected by the community and represents the very best of our next generation of leaders.
“We are keeping Petros and his family in our prayers and remain hopeful for his safe return.”
Krommidas is from Long Island, and graduated from boys prep school Chaminade High School in 2013, according to his LinkedIn.
He attended Columbia University, where he was on the rowing team and graduated with degrees in American history and business management.
After years of working in finance, he became a Democratic party field organizer in 2024.
