Melania Trump is more popular than anyone in her husband's administration after 100 days

During the initial 100 days of President Donald Trump’s term, First Lady Melania Trump has not frequently been seen in public alongside him. However, she has garnered the highest approval ratings among all members of his administration.

In a recent survey conducted by Daily Mail/J.L. Partners, American citizens were asked to provide ratings for various individuals within the Trump administration, including the president, vice president, and select Cabinet members.

Melania Trump obtained a favorable rating of plus-13, indicating that 30 percent of the respondents held a very positive opinion of her, while another 15 percent viewed her somewhat favorably.

Those numbers are identical to her husband’s – but she tops the list because her unfavorables aren’t as bad.

Twenty four percent of respondents rated Melania Trump very unfavorably, while 8 percent had a somewhat unfavorable view of the first lady.

At the same time, 42 percent of those polled view the president very unfavorably, with another 9 percent holding a somewhat unfavorable view of the commander-in-chief.

That gives Trump an overall rating of negative-five, which is near the bottom of the list of administration figures pollsters inquired about.

After Melania, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. received the highest approval numbers – at plus-six percent overall.

Twenty three percent rated Kennedy very favorably, with another 22 percent viewing him somewhat favorably.

Kennedy, a prominent vaccine skeptic who ran an independent campaign for president before having his Make America Healthy Again movement join MAGA, is viewed negatively by 39 percent of those polled.

The poll found that 29 percent viewed him very unfavorably and 10 percent viewed him somewhat unfavorably.

Also in positive territory were Secretary of State Marco Rubio, with a plus-three rating, press secretary Karoline Leavitt, with a plus-three rating and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent with a plus-one rating.

A large chunk of respondents answered that they had never heard of Leavitt nor Bessent, as both have recently become more prominent political figures.

Rubio, on the other hand, was elected to the U.S. Senate in Florida in 2010 and ran for president in 2016. He gave up his Senate seat to lead Trump’s State Department.

Overall, 34 percent of respondents had never heard of Leavitt, who at 27 is the nation’s youngest press secretary, and 40 percent had never heard of Bessent, a Charleston-based hedge fudge manager who’s the country’s highest-ranking openly gay official.

Moving into negative territory, Vice President J.D. Vance’s overall rating is negative-one.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was rated second from the lowest new polling showed

DOGE leader Elon Musk got the lowest numbers in the new polling

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth (left) and then DOGE leader Elon Musk (right) were rated the most unfavorably by Americans, the new survey found, with 40 percent viewing the billionaire Musk very unfavoraly

He is both liked and disliked less than Trump – with 28 percent viewing him very favorably, 16 percent viewing him somewhat favorably, 36 percent viewing him very unfavorably and 9 percent viewing him somewhat unfavorably.

The least two popular officials pollsters asked about were Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, garnering a negative-9 rating and DOGE leader Elon Musk, with a negative-15 rating.

For comparison, Trump’s net rating stands at negative-5.

Musk’s number is so bad because 40 percent of Americans have a very unfavorable view of the billionaire, who has been bulldozing parts of the federal government.

Another 13 percent view Musk somewhat unfavorably.

At the same time, 22 percent viewed Musk very favorably – which is higher than Hegseth’s 15 percent in the same category.

Hegseth, who’s had to weather two Signal scandals, also is relatively new to the political scene, having previously been a Fox News anchor, so 20 percent of respondents said they didn’t know who he is.
