President Trump the First 100 Days: The Interview in the Oval Office
Powered by Reelgood
President Donald Trump will be sitting down with ABC News in the White House for a special interview to mark the first 100 days of his second term.
President Trump will be featured in a primetime special called President Trump the First 100 Days: The Interview in the Oval Office, where he will be interviewed by ABC News senior national correspondent Terry Moran on Tuesday (April 29) evening. This special will give the president an opportunity to discuss some of his recent political decisions.
The timing of this special is significant, with a recent poll conducted by ABC News, Washington Post, and Ipsos revealing that Trump currently holds the lowest 100-day approval rating of any president in the last 80 years.
According to the poll, only 39% of respondents approve of Trump’s performance as president, while 55% disapprove. This is the second time Trump has received the lowest approval rating at or around the 100-day mark in office, with a previous rating of 42% in 2017.
The poll also found that 72% said they think “it’s very or somewhat likely that his economic policies will cause a recession in the short term.”
The first three months of Trump’s second presidency have been eventful with thousands of government layoffs, massive changes in immigration policies, and a trade war with China. But there’s no telling what will be tackled in the ABC special when it airs.
President Trump the First 100 Days: The Interview in the Oval Office will air on ABC Tuesday, April 29, at 8/7c.
The primetime special will also be available to stream on ABC News Live, Hulu, and Disney+.
Trump will also be delivering a speech at a rally in Michigan at the Selfridge Air National Guard Base, where he will be joined by Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
The speech can be watched live on PBS’ website.
Trump’s rally speech will begin at 6 p.m. ET.
