A BRIT woman has been found dead in her home in France.
Cops said the victim, understood to be 65 years old, suffered “deep injuries” caused by a sharp object.

The victim was discovered at her residence in the village of Tremolat in the Dordogne, with five severe wounds inflicted by a blunt object, according to state prosecutor Sylvie Martins Guedes.
He added: “The injuries showed particular violence, and their location demonstrated a desire to kill.”
According to the prosecutor’s office, it was the victim’s friend who alerted the cops after discovering their body.
Cops have now opened an investigation into the case and are treating it as a homicide.
A police spokesperson said: “The search is underway to identify and arrest the perpetrator of this crime.
“At this stage, no hypothesis is being favoured.”
The victim had lived in the department for several years.
