WPEC, in its coverage of the affidavit, mentioned text exchanges between Gonzalez Salinas and the purported victim that suggested she was aware of the illicit nature of their actions. Their discussions apparently included discussions on aligning their accounts and ensuring consistency in their version of events. It was reported that they agreed on the narrative they would provide regarding the frequency of their meetings, with the underage boy agreeing to portray himself as the initiator of the sexual encounters.
Gonzalez Salinas was eventually arrested on Monday and charged with seven felony counts of lewd or lascivious behavior, specifically lewd or lascivious battery of a victim aged 12 to 16. She posted bond after midnight on Wednesday.
