There have been reports of messages pretending to be from the treasurer’s office, containing a property tax bill amount and directing recipients to check their email for more details.
The Mesa County Treasurer’s Office has clarified that they never send property tax bills through text messages and advised recipients to promptly delete any such messages. Recipients are urged not to follow any instructions provided in the text message or associated email.
Official communications from the Mesa County Treasurer’s Office are either sent via traditional mail or originate from the email address [email protected]. In some cases, payment-related emails may come from AutoAgent with the email address no-reply-municipay.com. It is important to note that these are the only email addresses recognized as legitimate from the Mesa County Treasurer’s Office for individuals in Colorado.
