Texas father set house on fire with 3 children inside: police

A man from Texas is alleged to have deliberately started a fire in his house while his three children were inside, as stated by law enforcement.

The individual, Pedro Luis Parra Pulgar, aged 46, is facing three charges of attempting to murder. He is currently being held on a bond of $2.25 million.

Reports from the police indicated that the fire broke out on November 6 at 31619 Eldorado Lane in the Polo Ranch Community located in Fulshear, Texas.

Two children were able to escape the home with minor injuries, but a third child, a three-year-old, remained trapped inside.

Officers heard faint sounds from within the home and entered through a bedroom window and rescued the child.

The child, who was suffering from severe smoke inhalation, was airlifted to a nearby hospital and has since been released.
