A desperate search is underway in Texas for a 10-year-old girl who was “swept away by rapidly rising floodwaters,” officials said.Â
The Brenham Fire Department reported that the student disappeared around 4:25 p.m. on Monday in Brenham, a city situated midway between Austin and Houston.
Efforts to locate the missing student persisted throughout the night, employing ground crews, drones equipped with thermal imaging technology, and canine search teams.
The agency expressed unwavering dedication to locating the missing child and reuniting her with her family. They also urged the community to keep the child, her family, and all the first responders in their thoughts and prayers.
