A man from Pennsylvania is accused of killing his mother and then driving to his sister’s residence with the body still in the car. Reports suggest that he attempted to conceal the body under boxes, McDonald’s wrappers, and various household items. His lawyer compared this act to dressing up a skeleton, as per police and local accounts.

Kevin Ahn, aged 31, has been charged with first-degree murder, assault, and abuse of a corpse following the death of his mother, Hyun Ahn, aged 61, in Maryland earlier this year. The local NBC affiliate WGAL reported that the woman’s demise was determined to be a homicide caused by strangulation and a traumatic brain injury.

State’s Attorney Scott Shellenberger of Baltimore County mentioned to The Baltimore Sun that Ahn is set to face murder and assault allegations in Baltimore County. This is in relation to the death of Hyun Ahn, who resided in Owings Mills, after the purported incident in March.

Northern Lancaster County officials say it was Ahn’s estranged sister in Penn Township who reported him to police after a “suspicious incident” at her residence in the 100 block of Fruitville Pike in Penn Township on March 24, according to a police press release.

The woman allegedly told police that Ahn, who is “transient and not generally welcome at the home,” per cops, showed up at her house driving their mother’s 2022 Toyota Rav 4 and was “acting weird.” The sister and her husband, who came outside to confront Ahn, both allegedly saw “an unresponsive person positioned across the rear seat and floor” of his vehicle, “partially covered in household goods” and trash, according to police.
