A man from Texas faces a murder charge for reportedly shooting his stepbrother and killing him. The incident occurred when the victim arrived to pick up their mother for a Mother’s Day dinner.
Law enforcement officers from Harris County responded to the incident on Saturday around 7:30 p.m. They discovered the body of Eduardo Alfaro Jr., aged 32, with fatal gunshot injuries, according to a statement by Sheriff Ed Gonzalez posted on Facebook.
Investigators said that Alfaro got into an argument with Charles Storey, 50, and Storey shot him to death, KPRC said.
Deputies found Storey still on the scene and took him custody on a murder charge.
Storey was “possibly” on a “drinking binge,” Gonzalez said.
“What should’ve been a pleasant evening between mother and son, instead turned deadly,” said Gonzalez. “Mom lost two sons on Mother’s Day.”
