The highly acclaimed Star Wars series, Andor, will be airing its final episode on Disney+ tonight. The last three episodes of Andor Season 2 will be released today, Tuesday, May 13, marking the conclusion of the journey of Cassian Andor (played by Diego Luna) as he evolves into a crucial figure in the Rebellion. This ending will reveal how Cassian became involved in the mission to steal the Death Star plans, the fate of Luthen Rael (portrayed by Stellan Skarsgård), and the destinies of all our beloved Andor characters. It’s time to bid farewell to Andor…
Conceived by Tony Gilroy, Andor aimed to uncover the untold stories of the overlooked heroes and heroines of the early days of the Rebellion. Prior to the arrival of Luke Skywalker, the diverse Rebel Alliance encountered internal conflicts, acts of sabotage, and the constant threats posed by the Galactic Empire. Andor illustrates how regular individuals made incredible sacrifices to pave the way for Luke and his companions to ultimately bring down the Emperor.
In the recent set of episodes, we witnessed the harrowing events of the genocide on Ghorman and saw Mon Mothma (played by Genevieve O’Reilly) standing up against Emperor Palpatine himself. Sadly, Syril Karn (portrayed by Kyle Soller) met his demise, while his girlfriend Dedra Meero (played by Denise Gough) became entangled in a terrible act. Bix (portrayed by Adria Arjona) parted ways with Cassian in an effort to ensure his commitment to the Rebellion, while Kleya (played by Elizabeth Dulau) remained close by, following Luthen’s lead.
What’s going to happen to these characters next? We know Cassian Andor and Mon Mothma will survive to appear in Rogue One: Star Wars Story and beyond, but what of Luthen, Dedra, Bix, Kleya, and the rest of Andor‘s ensemble cast?

No, there will not be an Andor Season 3. Andor Season 2 is the end of the Disney+ show.
Series creator Tony Gilroy and Andor star/EP Diego Luna originally planned five seasons of Andor, but they changed their creative vision when they realized how long just one single season of the show takes to film.
âIt is the final season because it takes two years and a half to make one season,â Diego Luna recently explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live. âWe promised five at the beginning, but then we were doing the first⦠The amazing Tony Gilroy came to Scotland and we were shooting and we sat down and said, âLike this is going to be impossible. I mean, how can we do five seasons? Itâs more than a decade. I cannot fire a blaster for another ten years.ââ
Of course, Star Wars fans already know that Andor isnât the end of Cassian Andorâs story. The Andor Season 2 finale leads right into the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which then leads directly into the opening of Star Wars: Episode IV â A New Hope.
