Tuesday nights will feature new episodes of Dancing with the Stars and freshman hit High Potential, while Wednesdays offer a fun mix of reality and comedy with Shifting Gears, Abbott Elementary, The Golden Bachelor, and Shark Tank. We’re happy to announce that the beloved Ramón Rodríguez-led procedural has been renewed for a fourth season, but, unfortunately, the series isn’t on ABC’s fall schedule. When exactly does Will Trent return with new episodes? Here’s everything you need to know.

Yes! ABC renewed both Will Trent and The Rookie for Seasons 4 and 8, respectively.
Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait a bit for the fourth season premiere. Just like last season, ABC is holding The Rookie and Will Trent for midseason. No official premiere date has been announced, but we expect Will Trent to return in January 2026.
