Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, who is the main witness for the government, appeared in court today to face the cross-examination by the $10 million defense team of Sean “Diddy” Combs.
During the trial, she had previously described the alleged physical, emotional, and sexual abuse she claimed to have experienced throughout her ten-year relationship with the disgraced rap mogul.
The focal point of Combs’ defense today revolved around the argument that Ventura was never forced to engage in “freak offs,” refuting her previous testimony. The defense presented text messages, including one from Ventura to Combs in 2009 saying, “I’m always ready to freak off lolol.” Despite the explicit messages, Ventura remained composed and unwavering in her stance. She revealed that she started to feel that Combs was taking advantage of her.
Combs’ defense team is expected to continue cross-examining Ventura through Friday morning.
