In Osceola County, Florida, deputies arrested a 21-year-old man on Thursday in connection with a fatal shooting, as reported by the sheriff’s office.
Jovaniel Lopez faces a charge of second-degree murder, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Responding to a shooting incident in the 800 block of Cypress Parkway, deputies discovered that Lopez had a verbal dispute with Micah Gabriel Mebane, 35, whom Lopez allegedly shot, according to the release.
Mebane was declared dead at a hospital, the sheriff’s office confirmed. On the same day, the agency’s Homicide Unit secured an arrest warrant for Lopez, the release mentioned.
Lopez is being held on no bond amount, records show.
