Aubrey O’Day Explains Why She’s Not Testifying at the Diddy Trial

Aubrey O’Day has confirmed she won’t take the stand to testify against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs as his trial continues.

Currently, the 55-year-old music executive is facing trial in New York on charges related to sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for engaging in prostitution. Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all the accusations brought against him.

Although Aubrey O’Day is also in New York at the moment, she made it clear on the May 16 episode of the “Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes Presents: Aubrey O’Day Covering the Diddy Trial” podcast that she will not be attending the legal proceedings, despite previous speculations.

“I’m not here to testify for the Diddy trial that I know of,” O’Day, 41, said on the podcast.

Aubrey O’Day seemingly reacted to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest with a cryptic social media post about justice. “The purpose of justice is to provide an ending and allow us the space to create a new chapter,” the former Danity Kane singer shared via her Instagram Story and X on Monday, September 16, amid news of […]

Although she is not planning to testify against Diddy in court, she did confirm she had met with Homeland Security previously.

“I was contacted by Homeland Security and I did have a meeting with Homeland Security,” she confirmed.

Initially, there were rumors suggesting that O’Day would testify in court during the trial. This belief was further fueled by a post she shared on Instagram on May 14, which depicted a video from her time in New York City, leading many of her social media followers to assume she would be a witness.

“Hey New York!!! Where y’all think I should head first?” O’Day captioned the post, and added a weighing scale emoji. The emoji, which often has connotations of justice and the law, led many followers to believe she was hinting at heading to court.

In the podcast, she explained her reasons behind sharing the post about New York via Instagram.

“I posted on my Instagram that I was here in New York because I want to make it clear to everyone that I am not here testifying,” she said during the podcast interview.

Diddy was arrested in September 2024 and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. He pleaded not guilty to all charges and has denied all of the allegations against him.

Weeks before Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest, Aubrey O’Day reflected on the recent “big shift” her life had taken. “At the end of last year when Cassie dropped her lawsuit, all of our lives changed forever,” O’Day, 40, said on a recent episode of the “Off the Vine” podcast. “I mean, they changed forever back then […]

“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo said in a statement at the time. “He is an imperfect person, but he is not a criminal. To his credit Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and he voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

Since his arrest, Diddy has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. His four requests for bail were denied by Judge Arun Subramanian.
