Jennifer Lawrence is back on the red carpet!
At the Cannes Film Festival premiere of her new movie “Die, My Love,” the 34-year-old actress showcased her performance. In the film, she portrays a woman grappling with postpartum depression after giving birth, with Robert Pattinson appearing as her on-screen husband. The star-studded cast also includes Nick Nolte, LaKeith Stanfield, Sissy Spacek, Gabrielle Rose, and Sarah Lind, under the direction of Lynne Ramsay.
This project marks her return to the big screen since the 2023 film “No Hard Feelings,” where she shared the screen with Andrew Barth Feldman, Lauren Benanti, and Matthew Broderick. Back in London that year, Lawrence opted for a goth glam look during the premiere.
Her recent red carpet appearance rings in as her first public event since being sighted with husband Cooke Maroney in March, amidst speculations about the birth of their second child. The couple, Lawrence and 40-year-old Maroney, commenced their relationship in March 2018 and tied the knot in October 2019. Their wedding boasted a star-studded guest list, including Kris Jenner, Adele, Cameron Diaz, Nicole Richie, Emma Stone, Ashley Olsen, and Sienna Miller. Despite the buzz, the duo preferred to keep most wedding details under wraps, maintaining their usual privacy.
Lawrence and Maroney are parents to their son Cy, who they welcomed in February 2022. They have not shared the name or sex of their second child.
The actress has been open about how parenthood changed her. “My heart has stretched to a capacity that I didn’t know about. I include my husband in that. And then they’re both just, like, out there — walking around, crossing streets,” she told Vogue in October 2022. “He’s gonna drive one day. He’s gonna be a stupid teenager and be behind the wheel of a car. And I’m just gonna be, like, ‘Good night!’ You know? Like, who sleeps?”
She continued, “The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over. Like, now is day one of my life. I just stared. I was just so in love. I also fell in love with all babies everywhere. Newborns are just so amazing. They’re these pink, swollen, fragile little survivors.”
Before giving birth, Lawrence made headlines for her mob-wife-esque maternity style. She was photographed in New York City wearing a leopard-print coat by Malene Birger. Her maternity style also featured cozy sweaters from The Row and La Ligne and even similarly comfortable but cool sneakers from the New Balance x Aime Leon Dore collaboration.
