Looks like there’s trouble in A-list bestie paradise, and Gigi Hadid may be subtly picking sides.

The 30-year-old model has been a close part of Taylor Swift’s inner circle for a long time. Reports now suggest that she has gradually drifted apart from Blake Lively due to the conflict between the “Cruel Summer” singer and the “Gossip Girl” actress.

The controversy involving Gigi Hadid has emerged following Blake Lively’s widely publicized legal battle with her “It Ends With Us” co-star, Justin Baldoni. This situation took an unexpected turn when Taylor Swift was summoned to testify in the lawsuit.

Sources reveal that the strain has severely damaged the once strong bond between Lively and Swift. The breaking point came when Lively supposedly threatened to expose private text messages unless Swift publicly supported her in the dispute with Baldoni. This action reportedly led Taylor to feel completely disillusioned with her former close friend.

“As Taylor has begun to distance herself from Blake, Gigi has naturally done the same,” one insider told Us Weekly. “The shift wasn’t abrupt, but a gradual and organic change in dynamics.”

Though the supermodel “hasn’t necessarily chosen sides,” a source said her current closeness with Swift speaks volumes.

“They haven’t been in touch much this year and it does have everything to do with the lawsuit,” the insider added, referring to Gigi and Blake.

Swift’s team has also made it clear she had minimal involvement in the “It Ends With Us” film.

“Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see ‘It Ends With Us’ until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history,” the singer’s rep said in a statement.

The rep also slammed the subpoena, calling it a “tabloid clickbait” stunt.

“The connection Taylor had to this film was permitting the use of one song, ‘My Tears Ricochet,’” the statement continued. “Given that her involvement was licensing a song for the film, which 19 other artists also did, this document subpoena is designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case.”

Meanwhile, Lively and Baldoni continue to duke it out. Lively first sued the actor-director for sexual harassment in December 2024, and he clapped back with a jaw-dropping $400 million countersuit. Both have denied all allegations.

Fans first noticed something was off when Lively skipped Gigi’s 30th birthday bash last month, a star-studded affair that included sister Bella Hadid, their parents Yolanda and Mohammed, “The Devil Wears Prada” queen Anne Hathaway, and yes, Taylor Swift herself.

According to the gossip site DeuxMoi, Swift “snuck into the party” solo, but there was no Travis Kelce in sight.

According to sources, Hadid and Lively “really haven’t been as close in almost a year,” though there are “no hard feelings.” One insider summed it up best, telling the outlet, “It’s just a reflection of the closeness [she] and Taylor have shared over the years.”
