The Miles Newton bridge has been closed after what police are describing as a “pedestrian vs. train accident”.
In Fremont, Ohio, a tragic incident took place on Sunday evening where a train struck multiple individuals, resulting in the deaths of two adults. Mayor Danny Sanchez of Fremont confirmed this unfortunate event and mentioned that a juvenile is currently missing.
As of 10:45, crews are continuing their search for the juvenile in the Sandusky River.
The incident took place near the Miles Newton Bridge around 7 p.m.
The Miles Newton bridge goes over the Sandusky River at Hayes Ave.
The identities of the two deceased adults have not been disclosed yet, and the age of the missing juvenile remains unknown.
