A Dense Fog Advisory has been put in place for Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Ogle, Lee, De Kalb, Kane, DuPage, La Salle, Kendall, Grundy, Northern Cook, and Northern Will counties until 9 a.m. on Monday.
There is a chance that additional counties may be included in the dense fog advisory before Monday morning as per ABC7 Meteorologist Jaisol Martinez.
The conditions could cause trouble on the roads for drivers, who should use caution in areas of low visibility.
The fog led to flight disruptions at Chicago’s airports. By 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, O’Hare Airport had seen 38 canceled flights, while Midway Airport had 24 cancellations, based on city data. On average, there were 15-minute delays for flights at both airports.
