A new body isn’t the only new look that Lizzo is showing off.

On Thursday, the award-winning singer caused a stir on Instagram by posting photos showing off her new light-blonde hair, leading fans to immediately draw comparisons to none other than Beyonce.

Following her surprise appearance at SZA and Kendrick Lamar’s performance at SoFi Stadium the previous night, Lizzo unveiled her stunning new look. The photo captured her in a striking, voluminous platinum blonde hairstyle that flowed in soft curls past her shoulders, exuding strong ’90s bombshell vibes.

Lizzo joined SZA onstage for a remix performance of “Special,” the empowering anthem from her 2022 album of the same name.

She rocked a sultry deep burgundy lace outfit that clung to her curves, featuring sheer detailing and black accents. The form-fitting ensemble was not only glamorous but also bold, showcasing her confidence and recent physical transformation.

During an April appearance on Jay Shetty’s “On Purpose” podcast, the Grammy-winning artist opened up about what she calls her “intentional weight release journey,” a process she says has been unfolding quietly over the last year and a half.

“I have been on an intentional weight release journey,” the singer shared. “I put it on the internet. I posted about it, and I think over the last year and a half, as I’ve been doing it, my body has been changing, very slowly, but I don’t think people were paying attention.”

While Lizzo’s appearance may be shifting, her commitment to body positivity remains unwavering. She made it clear that despite her physical transformation, she’s maintained her stance against fatphobia throughout the entire experience.

“I was still very anti-fatphobia on this entire journey,” she explained. “But I think that we gotta remember [that] everybody’s not seeing your sh-t all the time, everybody’s not seeing every video you post, everybody’s not privy to what you’re going through.”
