LITTLE RIVER, S.C. — At least 11 people were taken to hospitals after a shooting Sunday night in a South Carolina beach town, authorities said.
The Horry County Police have not disclosed the condition of individuals injured or how they sustained their injuries in the occurrence, which took place around 9:30 p.m. in Little River.
Investigators were getting reports of more people arriving at the hospital in private vehicles, Horry County Police said on social media.
Approximately 90 minutes after the incident, law enforcement deemed it to be an isolated event and assured the public that there is no imminent danger to the community. No details regarding potential suspects or the motives behind the shooting have been made available by the authorities.

The shooting happened around a boat dock near the Intracoastal Waterway.
Video from the scene showed dozens of police cars and ambulances rushing in and out of the area.
An officer from the North Myrtle Beach police department, who was en route to the scene of the shooting, accidentally discharged his weapon and injured himself in the leg at a marina located approximately 3 miles (5 kilometers) away. The officer is currently hospitalized and reported to be in stable condition, according to statements from North Myrtle Beach spokeswoman, Lauren Jessie.
Little River is about 20 miles (32 kilometers) northeast of Myrtle Beach.
