MULTIPLE people have been injured following a shooting at a Christian school.
Police swarmed Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, about 80 miles west of Milwaukee, on Monday following an on-campus shooting.
The shooting broke out just before 11 am at the K-12 Christian school.
Madison police described the scene as an “active and ongoing investigation.”
Authorities are asking people to avoid the area.
Madison police did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The U.S. Sun.
A resident whose home neighbors the school told NBC affiliate WMTV that she “heard gunshots.”
According to information on the school’s website, Madison Abundant Life Christian School caters to around 200 families who come from 56 various churches in the Dane County region.
At least 390 students are enrolled at the 28-acre campus.
This week was the school’s last week before Christmas vacation, with Friday scheduled to be the students’ final day.
