Jennifer Lopez Opens Up About Her Dating Life Following Ben Affleck Divorce

The couple, who used to be married for a period of two years, decided to go their separate ways in 2024, with the actress initiating the divorce process on the day of their wedding anniversary.

Currently, Jennifer Lopez has been romantically linked with various well-known individuals, such as actor Kevin Costner, but she has explicitly stated that she is not actively seeking a new relationship at this time.

Lopez recently made a bold admission about her dating life following her stellar hosting of the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs).

During an interview with Access Hollywood, the actress responded to a comment by comedian Tiffany Haddish about going “manhunting” together.

“She said that to me,” Lopez noted. “I said, ‘Girl, I’m not looking for no man.’ I’m happy right now. I’m not trying to ruin it.”

Lopez and Affleck finalized their divorce early this year, with the actor sharing with GQ Magazine that there was “no scandal” between them.

Prior to their official separation in August, the former couple had been dealing with speculations about troubles in their marriage, eventually leading to Lopez officially filing for divorce due to what she described as “irreconcilable differences.”

Lopez’s confession about her love life comes after she shared her excitement about the summer, as she is getting back on the road to tour.

Speaking with People Magazine, Lopez revealed that she was “excited to tour,” referencing her “Up All Night: Live in 2025” tour, which features international dates in Europe and Asia.

But before the tour kicks off in July, the singer will first headline the World Pride Music Festival, which spans June 6-7.

Lopez also told the news outlet how she intends to celebrate being single and enjoy being in the right place in her life.

“It seems like a perfect summer to celebrate being free and being happy,” the actress said. “Just everything in my life right now just feels really healthy and good.”

“I’m ready to get out there and make people sing and dance and have a good time. That’s always my goal,” she added.

One thing Lopez and Affleck have in common is work ethic, as insiders shared that the former lovers are burying their hearts in work to deal with the heartbreak from their divorce.

Affleck has been busy with several projects, including “The Accountant 2” and “Animals.”

In the same way, Lopez headlined the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and hosted the American Music Awards. She has also been filming her upcoming movie “Office Romance,” and has a summer tour to look forward to.

A source told the Daily Mail that the pair are keeping their minds off the heartbreak by working.

“They are both sad that the marriage did not work out,” the insider said. “Instead of crying over it, however, they are working their hearts out. They love being busy with solid projects.”

“They want more successes, more hit films, more awards,” the source added.

In his recent cover story with GQ Magazine, Affleck noted that much of the speculation surrounding his divorce from the “Maid in Manhattan” actress was false.

“There’s a tendency to look at breakups and want to identify root causes or something. But honestly … the truth is much more quotidian than probably people would believe or would be interesting,” the “Argo” star noted.

He added, “There’s no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue. The truth is, when you talk to somebody, ‘Hey, what happened?’ Well, there is no, ‘This is what happened.'”

Affleck further acknowledged their differences but insisted that those contrasting traits had little to do with their split.

“My temperament is to be a little bit more reserved and private than hers. As happens in relationships, you don’t always have the same attitude towards these things,” Affleck told the publication.
