SPRING VALLEY, New York (WABC) — Police are searching for a shooter after a woman was shot and killed in Ramapo on Wednesday morning.

Authorities responded to a home on Inwood Drive just before 9 a.m. and spent hours processing it as a crime scene.

Sources say the shooting appears to be domestic.

The victim was taken to the hospital where sources tell Eyewitness News she was pronounced dead.

The victim has yet to be identified, though she was known to some in the neighborhood as “Peaches.”

According to neighbors, she lived in the home with her adult son and daughter.

Anyone with information is asked to call Ramapo police at 845-357-2400.

Few other details were released.
