‘The Devil Wears Prada’ Cast to Reunite at 2024 SAG Awards – The Hollywood Reporter

The Devil Wears Prada co-stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt are set to reunite at the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Saturday.

The reunion marks 18 years since the beloved 2006 movie, directed by David Frankel, premiered. It follows new graduate Andy Sachs (Hathaway) who lands a job as an assistant to Miranda Priestly (Streep), the demanding editor-in-chief of a high fashion magazine.

Following its release, Streep went on to earn a SAG Award nomination and an Oscar nomination for her role in The Devil Wears Prada.

This year, Blunt is up for best female actor in a supporting role as well as best cast performance in a motion picture for Oppenheimer at the Saturday awards show. Streep is also nominated for best performance by an ensemble in a comedy series in Only Murders in the Building.

Other previously announced presenters include Idris Elba, Jennifer Aniston, Erika Alexander, Danielle Brooks, Sterling K. Brown, Michael Cera, Jessica Chastain, Colman Domingo, Robert Downey Jr., Phil Dunster, Billie Eilish, America Ferrera, Brendan Fraser, Taraji P. Henson, Greta Lee, Melissa McCarthy, Cillian Murphy, Glen Powell, Issa Rae, Storm Reid, Margot Robbie, Tracee Ellis Ross, Alexander Skarsgard, Omar Sy, Hannah Waddingham, Naomi Watts, Jeffrey Wright and Fran Drescher.

Hathaway and Blunt have previously reminisced about their time filming The Devil Wears Prada and expressed their appreciation for their co-stars. The latter even said in 2022 that she would reprise her role for a sequel “in a heartbeat just to play with those guys again. It’s so fun.”

Last year, however, the film’s writer Aline Brosh McKenna told The Hollywood Reporter that she is hesitant to entertain the idea of a sequel.

“Not really, and I think David [Frankel] feels this way, too,” she said at the time. “That group of people coming together at the right time was lightning in a bottle. And magazine publishing has changed so enormously. I haven’t heard an idea so far that made me go, ‘OK, let’s go roll up our sleeves.’”

The 30th annual SAG Awards, held on Saturday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, will stream live on Netflix.
