Video displays delivery driver entering O’Hare Airport tarmac by mistake, confirmed by Chicago Department of Aviation

CHICAGO (WLS) — Video released by the Chicago Department of Aviation shows a delivery car driving onto the tarmac at O’Hare Airport last month.

On May 17, an incident took place where a perplexed food delivery driver mistakenly drove into a restricted area at the airport, as per the police.

The video shows a red car driving on the tarmac near planes.

The driver was not cited.

The Chicago Department of Aviation emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety and security of passengers, airport workers, and airport facilities. They revealed that an individual not associated with airport operations was discovered in a secured zone at O’Hare International Airport over the weekend. The occurrence is currently being investigated by the CDA in collaboration with the Chicago Police Department. Despite the incident, normal operations were maintained without any safety issues, as law enforcement swiftly cleared the area as a precaution. The CDA is treating this matter seriously and will implement any necessary actions based on the investigation results.
