CHICAGO (WLS) — There’s a place you can shop that’s cash-free because compassion is the currency.
Mark your calendars for the opening of Mrs. Meyer’s Compassion Store in Chicago on June 13 and 14. At this temporary shop, you can engage in real acts of kindness and receive items like plants, a bouquet, and Mrs. Meyer’s Compassion Flower Hand Soap to promote compassion within your local community.
The store is a part of Mrs. Meyer’s “Lots of Compassion” initiative, initially launched in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood. This program, now in its third year, focuses on revitalizing empty lots into vibrant gardens to enhance community well-being. Discover ways to nurture compassion and support your neighborhood’s prosperity by visiting MrsMeyers.com/compassion.
By purchasing any Compassion Flower products on MrsMeyers.com, at Walmart stores, or on Walmart.com, $1 will be contributed (up to $200,000 per year) towards community gardening projects nationwide. Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day has committed to donating up to $1 million over five years, until 2027, to sustain this meaningful program.
Until June 16, you can apply or nominate a community organization to receive grants to transform vacant lots in your neighborhood into a community garden at Mrsmeyers.com/compassion.
