Almost a dozen have been injured. Apparently, exercising your First Amendment rights means hurling projectiles at law enforcement.
He said the weaponry they’re encountering was “interesting”:
Luna said 10 deputies were injured after protesters hurled rocks, Molotov cocktails and “high-grade pyrotechnics” at them.
“We have been encountering some interesting weapons out there,” Luna said. “[There is a] big difference between the peaceful protesters and the individuals who are coming out with weapons to attack our folks.”
Of course, California Democrats made this situation all but inevitable as they (along with former President Joe Biden) laid out the welcome mat for illegal aliens, routinely prioritized them over their own Golden State citizens, and regularly spat in the face of federal law enforcement:
