AN ADORABLE rescue dog with a wonky face is being likened to a Picasso painting – and has won the hearts of hundreds of thousands including celebs.
Amanda Richter, who is 34 years old, developed a deep connection with Brodie, a unique mix of German Shepherd, Mastiff, Pitbull Terrier, and Rottweiler. Brodie had faced challenges in his past as he was bitten by his mother when he was just a pup.
Brodie was rescued from Old MacDonald Kennels in Alberta, Canada, and his jaw is also partially fused shut.
This left the cute pooch with a crooked face and a partially blind eye.
But Amanda, a photographer from British Columbia, thought he was “perfect” when she saw him on a rescue page.
Amanda said: “He’s a spunky little guy. He makes me laugh. He’s a bundle of energy and care-free.
“I get the comment a lot that he looks a lot like a cartoon dog that we used to draw as a kid.
“He’s not perfect but he is still loved. It’s not about what’s on the outside.
“That dog has the biggest heart. He’s perfect to me.
“He has no clue that he is different. He’s full of life. He wants to play all the time. He’s very smart too.”
Brodie has a legion of devoted fans on social media after Amanda started an account called @bestboybrodie.
Brodie has over 600,000 followers and features plenty of videos of him enjoying his life with Amanda.
He has many famous fans, including Amanda Seyfried, Leona Lewis and Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump.
Commenting on Brodie’s celeb followers, she added: “I think it’s hilarious.”
His followers quickly saw a resemblance between Brodie’s unique look and a Picasso painting.
Among his works, Picasso painted several pictures of wonky faces, including his most notable, Weeping Woman.

Interestingly, one of Brodie’s followers noticed this bond and sent Amanda another dog with a striking physical resemblance to Brodie. This new addition to Amanda’s life is a three-year-old mix of Husky and German Shepherd, named Raven.
The extra pet came to join the family in February 2022 after being rescued from Fuzzy Texan Animal Rescue.
Amanda said: “Brodie was terrified of Raven at first. Raven was from an abusive home. She was petrified when I got her.
“Eventually they warmed up to each other. Now they are inseparable. They play together. It’s such a brother sister relationship.”
The viral pup owner also said that she hopes Brodie’s unique appearance shows others that it’s ok to be different.
She continued: “Being not perfect is OK. I hope people will go and rescue dogs that are not perfect.”
Brodie turns six on January 14.
